By Interviewer at 01/15/09 07:03

Name of your website?

North American Equestrian Associates

Your name?

Lisa Mitchell

Your Location (city, etc)

Leesburg Virginia

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We are a broad based horse sales site based in VA, but with contacts reaching across the eastern seaboard. Dedicated to matching horses and customers in an economically efficient manner during these financial times.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

In an effort to help maintain a strong industry and cater to customers discouraged by the elitist mindset of many agents, we as professionals, decided to reach out to potential buyers and help them maximize their dollar value, as well help them and advise them in their purchase

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

My first website is Foxfieldhorses.com, and that is my personal farm website. We are enjoying much success catering to customers, and matching them with all types of horses, from western trail horses to A-circuit hunters and jumpers.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

My partners and I wanted to reach a broad spectrum of the equine community, we want every one with an interest in horses to be attracted to our site.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We are here to help everyone in the horse industry find a suitable horse. We will advise those without trainers, we will assist other professionals with their clients. We cater to all financial aspects and categories

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To help our industry stay active and afloat during these financial times

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

to date, we are reaching many people and finding them wonderful horses they would have not had the resources to locate on their own

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

we like it as it is

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

yes

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

we have, to date, not had any unexpected problems

What has been your biggest challenge?

proper placement in search engines

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

word of mouth, other advertising

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

none

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

we are, and have been, in business for the long haul

What is your website address?

North American Equestrian Associates
