HM Performance Horses Interview

By Interviewer at 02/04/08 22:24

Name of your website?

HM Performance Horses

Your name?

Heather

Your Location (city, etc)

Mt Airy

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We specialize in good broke pleasure and performance horses. We offer breaking, training, hauling, sale prep and representation just to mention a few things.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Publicity!

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Within the last month, this is the first one that I have done.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It's our farm name.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

We offer a lot more than most horse farms, and we work with our customers on an individual basis.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Expand the business.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Hard work and long hours has to eventually pay off.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Purchase more land, and better bred, higher quality livestock.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I beleive I could handle it.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Animals are creatures, with minds of their own, therefore there are always unexpected costs. This past years drought has also driven the price of grain and hay sky high.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Being a young single woman starting her own business, in a primarily all male area.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

I'm undecided at this point.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

More maintainence then I expected.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

It has been up for a month now, I plan on running it indeffinetly.

Why are you in this business?

It's a wonderfull thing when you can make a profession out of your passion. We may not be making the big dollars, but at least we are happy. I enjoying getting up in the mornings and going to work.

What is your website address?
