They say the weather is crazy now, with global warming, the "niño", end all of those nice things. They found out how much that is true at Churchill Downs race track a week ago. The clouds dumped incredible amounts of rain on the race track causing a terrific flood and the evacuation of more than 30 thoroughbreds from two barns who were by then up to their knees in water. Some parts of the track were underwater and still are today. In more than 30 years within memory, no one remembers such a ghastly performance.
