Nittany Equestrian Center Interview

By Interviewer at 04/30/08 15:28

Name of your website?

Nittany Equestrian Center

Your name?

Kasi Zimmerman

Your Location (city, etc)

Howard, Pa

Please give us a short summary of your website?

My website contains information about my training, teaching and what is happening in the horse community in my area.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I wanted a place to send clients, allow future clients to search for me and offer forums and boards for horse related talk and Q&A. I wanted an easily accessible social connection for my riders and friends.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

I first launched my website earlier this year to allow people to search for my services.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I used the name of my training/teaching business as that is the focus of the website.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

It is more than an electronic business card, it allows for interaction and people not riding under me to help/ask questions in a friendly forum environment.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I want to keep it to help generate income through the services I offer and are outlined on the website.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It balances well against my success.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would make it even more interactive and customizable to my tastes and my own creations.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes I think that I would be able to keep up with demand.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None so far.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting people to my site as it is very new.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Posting it in many different venues.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I expected what is happening.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I have had it for less than a year and will keep it for the next couple of years at least.

What would you like to happen for your site?

I would like a way to get more traffic to my website and get it available through all search engines.

What is your website address?
